About Coach Roach

At Coach Roach Adapted Sports and Fitness, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the joy, confidence, and lifelong benefits of movement.

My name is Kyle Roach, and I'm a Certified Adapted Physical Education (APE) Specialist with a master's degree in Adapted Physical Education. I work full-time as an Adapted Physical Education teacher in San Diego, helping children and young adults with a variety of disabilities develop the skills and confidence to participate in physical activity.

My passion for adapted sports and fitness began long before becoming an APE teacher. While living in Boston, Massachusetts, I spent several years as a trainer with AccesSportAmerica, where I adapted water sports and land based activities for disabled athletes. That experience taught me how to modify equipment, instruction, and activities so every athlete could safely experience the freedom, excitement, and confidence that comes from being physically active.

Outside of the school setting, I created Coach Roach Adapted Sports and Fitness to bring those same opportunities into the community. Through individualized coaching, adapted sports instruction, outdoor recreation, clinics, and camps, my goal is to create fun, meaningful experiences where every athlete can succeed at their own pace.
